Emotes are dances that I have created over my years of animating. I made a majority of these as I was learning animation, and each one was made with love & attention.
This list is ordered by date of creation. The further down the page you go, the better & better the animations get. A few of these animations I strongly dislike, and are very boring. Either way, I spent time putting them onto this page so uhh... enjoy.
This list is a work in progress. (NV) means I need to add the video showing the animation.
The very first animation.
This dance came around because swanko suggested I should animate the Default Dance. Sure, why not. I animated my own avatar, and used Moon Animator to move around my avatar.
The very first R15 emote.
I created this emote because I loved this game called RoBeats. It featured some community made emotes, some of which I strongly disliked. I thought "I could do better", and came up with this.
I animated the easy part of Team Fortress 2's Mannrobics taunt.
After creating said emote, I sent it the developer, spotco, anticipating nothing, but to my surprise, they responded & wanted to put the emote in the game. This interaction definitely sparked something in me.
The second emote.
I made this because I loved Club Penguin & thought this dance was iconic.
I remember this dance getting 1.2k likes on twitter, which really made me happy. The comments were very supportive and I wanted to make more animations because of the comments.
At this point, I was starting to get the hang of moving objects. I started incorporating more and more complex movements... with questionable quality.
Not gonna lie, I don't remember making this animation. It seems to be a quick concept dance... but it never ended up anywhere.
I was contemplating not showing this at all as well. I suppose it shows that a good idea is important.
This emote was certainly the most complex one so far. It featured two movements and transitioned between.
In only this emote, I played around with rotating the elbows & knees. It honestly looked really ugly so I never rotated the elbows after this.
It also doesn't make sense anatomically... so I wouldn't reccomend other animators doing this.
This emote sucks.
Something about this really really upset me. Even the video quality is bad. I wasn't putting all my passion into this emote & clearly ended up with a subpar emote.
From this, I learned to never work on something I have no passion for.
The first non referenced emote.
I made this animation with no reference, which is an absolute sin for any animator.
It was honestly fun working with no reference, because then I was only working off what I "felt" looked good. I think it might have helped hone my animating skills in faster.
This was supposed to reference the Smug Dance from A Hat In Time. I had never played the game but decided to animate due to this video.
This animation was definitely limited by the lower torso movement, which didn't match the original at all.
Because I was using FK, I was adjusting the foot to be in the same spot every time. Very time consuming.
Years later I reanimated this.
FK = Forward Kinematics. If you move the arm, the hand follows suit.
The predecessor of Frustration.
The idea of this emote was that if it played in game, you would instantly fall into a dead pose.
This was never added to RoBeats, and soon went under revision to become "Frustration".
This emote would be a fail dance whenever you missed in RoBeats.
I did not use a reference for this animation. I was just acting out how the animation would play & judge the timing from my body movements.
Because I was just using an FK rig, you can see the head move very slightly when it's detached. I was adjusting the head each frame the torso moved.
The update from Literally Just Dead.
This features initial anger, as well as a loop to beginning. Based off the tyler1 meme.
The most complex dance yet.
This dance was really enjoyable to make. I like to think I executed the dance well & learned to follow references better.
Based off Master Chop Chop Onion.
Based off Fortnite.
To be honest, I didn't really like how this turned out. Probably because the premise is just underwhelming.
Based off Fortnite.
This emote was really fun to make. The subtle details like the head turning like a spring & the upper torso bouncing were fun to add.
Based off Fortnite.
This emote thus far took the most amount of time to animate. I think the time was well worth it because it ended up looking pretty cool.
This emote kinda sucks.
I think the emote itself doesn't look bad.
It's just that the premise is kind of boring & it doesn't really... describe much.
By this point, I had animated for a whole year.
I think I had accomplished a lot by this point. A lot of cool things I experimented with & I was starting to understand how to animate.
This emote is kinda funny.
I loosely used reference so it ended up looking pretty free-flowing.
I made this animation based off Kanye West falling to the ground
It took a REALLLY long time to make this animation. I had to guess, probably like 50-80 hours I spent on this.
The reason for how long this took was because the rig was entirely in FK and I had to make each part fall frame perfect.
A month after this was finished, I came back to the animation to make the dance briefly look at the player in RoBeats.
This is purchasable on Roblox!! Use as an emote wherever you like!! Helps me out :)
This emote was based off Obama spinning a basketball.
This was awesome to make. Originally, the emote would have taken a few steps forward as they were dribbling, but this was changed mid creation.

The first Rigged animation.
This animation was a commission where you drive around in a car. I think it turned out kinda cool.
This emote was cancelled.
I wanted to replicate the iconic scene in Breaking Bad where Walter White falls to his knees.
But I discovered that it almost impossible for me to make this animation look good on a Roblox rig, so I stopped working on it.
This emote is kinda funny.
I wanted to replicate the stiff ragdoll-like nature of GMod ragdolls.
Didn't know how to loop this, so the animation reverses & acts like nothing happened.
This emote was based off Sweet Cap'n Cakes from Deltarune. I think it turned out pretty charming.
This emote was based off Mettaton from Undertale.
At this point, this was pretty easy to make, but I still felt that it looked cool.
The first animation made in blender.
I was getting to the point where using Moon Animator was really limiting me. I made this as an experiment in blender to see how it'd feel to make, and there was definitely a jump in how smooth my animation looked.
This animation ran into some issues, mostly because I was using Quaternion when I should have used YXZ Euler.
By this point, I had animated for two whole years.
I started to learn how to use blender, and spend considerably more time on my emotes to perfect nuanced movements.
This emote is a little weird.
I cobbled this together from a commission with 5 people dancing at the same time.
Nonetheless, I was continuing to learn how to use blender.
Right here, I took a break from making more emotes. I started to work on other things, but eventually made more emotes a while later.
This emote was based off Scout's Schadenfreude from Team Fortress 2.
I think this emote turned out pretty well. The spin was exaggerated & I made the torso bouncy to be stylistic.

This emote was based off Hat Kid from A Hat In Time.
This was the second time I had created this dance, and it turned out much closer to how I wanted the animation.
This emote was made a while later compared to my other animations. Inspired by Fortnite, stylized to be much bouncier.
Inspired from Fortnite, I used the original Scrubs footage as reference.

Based off Fortnite. Kind of boring not gonna lie.
This emote was inspired off Team Fortress 2's Carlton.
I focused a lot on the nuanced arcs and swings & I think it turned out well.
This emote was inspired off multiple sources.
I wanted to make the animation have an infinite loop, so it dabbed left & right.
